Determining what qualifies a book as a five-star read can be subjective, varying from reader to reader. However, certain criteria often emerge as common denominators among the revered selections in the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge. First and foremost, a five-star book typically exhibits exceptional writing quality. I also look at aspects like character development, dialogue, theme, what and how much of the book resonates with me, if it caused me to question/analyze aspects of my own life, if I’d read other works by the author, if I’d reread this book, and, of course, how much I’m enjoying the reading experience.
